Jennifer was named "Best Hair Dresser in Central Mass" in 2016!
Jen is a native Rhode Islander but has lived in the Worcester area for about 3 years. Jen comes to us from The Paul Mitchell School in Rhode Island where she was a part of the advanced academy. Jen also has a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which she believes allows her to be a well-rounded stylist.
You may recognize Jen from the many Worcester groups and organizations in which she participates. Jen is a member of the Young Professional Woman's Association, the Worcester Chamber of Commerce, and a member of a BNI networking group. She strives to be a part of the community and believes that networking is a great way to get out and meet new people.
Jen has a strong passion for hair-styling and makeup. She has attended many different cutting, color, up-styling, and makeup training classes since entering the field. Along with the rest of the exquisite team, Jen believes education is the key to success in this industry. Jen was recently named best hair stylist in Central Massachusetts by the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. She is also very passionate about weddings and the wedding industry. 1. What would you consider your strengths in your career to be?
I would say my strength in my career is my ability to have a thorough consultation and really listen to my clients on what they are struggling with and what their hair goals are. I like to look at pictures for inspiration and analyze my clients hair. It is important to know what type of lifestyle each person lives, so we can achieve a look they can recreate at home.
2. What are you most passionate about professionally?
My passion professionally is definitely hair color, I love customizing color for my clients- extra points for blondes!
3. What are you most passionate about personally?
Personally I am very passionate about spending quality time with my family and living a healthy lifestyle both physically and mentally.
4. Why did you aspire to become a cosmetologist?
I have always loved beauty, hair, and makeup. After finishing college I knew I needed to follow my true passion into the beauty industry.
5. Use three words to describe your personal style.
Three words to describe my personal style are classic, trendy and flower-power!

7. What do you love about Salon Exquisite?
At Salon Exquisite I love the atmosphere, family like community, and the standards Ashley sets for us to achieve!
8. Name a few of your hobbies other than turning heads.
A few of my hobbies other than turning heads are reading, exercising, hiking with my dogs, being a total beach bum, trying new restaurants, checking out local wineries and breweries, and crafting.
9. What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
I really enjoy teaching my clients how to style their hair and recommending the correct products to help them do so in a healthy way at home.
10. What are you complimented on most in your work?
My balayage and extension skills are the two things I am complimented on the most.
11. Why do you think Salon Exquisite is so unique?
Salon Exquisite stands out to me because we are truly all friends that are like family. Although we have grown quickly this past year, all the newer members of the staff fit right in! I think the clients really love this!
12. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Pink Flamingo- I am girly, fun, and fabulous!
13. Is there anything else you would like us to know about you?
Something else I would like you to know about me is I just had a new baby girl!
