Ashley Owner / Artist Stylist
Owner, Ashley Johnson, believes that customer satisfaction and ongoing education were the keys to her early success. During her first eight years working as a stylist, Ashley dreamed of working in a salon that strived to not only to meet the client’s expectations, but to exceed them. That dream, mingled with Ashley’s spunk and charisma, resulted in the creation of Salon Exquisite. Here, Ashley intends to provide clients with a professional, welcoming environment and to only employ stylists who share the same dreams and ambitions. Continuing education and routine goal setting are requirements for all of her staff members to ensure that all customers are guaranteed to see a knowledgeable and driven stylist at each and every visit, no matter which stylist they see. Ashley is proud of her team and what it provides for her; the ability to continue her transition from behind the chair into growing and managing the Salon.
What is the best thing about creating Salon Exquisite?
One of the best rewards of owning a business in this city is the ability to be an active member of the community. I have been board member for the Young Professional Women's Association of Worcester, Membership Coordinator for The Professional Women’s Networking Group of Central MA, and an active member of the Worcester Chamber of Commerce. My stylists and I love to help those in need, so we provide free services for many community events, including the Rise Above Foundation, where once a year we have girls in foster care visit our salon for a day of pampering. On behalf of the salon, I also donate to several community charities, including monthly gift certificate donations to the clients of Dress for Success, and roughly fifty gift baskets per year to other charities and organizations. For the past seven years, I have enjoyed being a mentor to an inspiring young lady through Big Brothers Big Sisters, owning my salon is another way I can inspire her to become exactly what she dreams of being.
